Are you looking for a indoor trainer on which you can train with any of your bikes without removing the wheels and without fiddly assembly? The KICKR ROLLR is the solution! Simply place your road bike on the smart roller trainer and clamp the front wheel with the hand-operated clamp and your indoor workout can begin. The ROLLR feels more like a free roller than a direct-drive trainer, as the rear wheel can move freely and provides an extremely realistic riding experience. In contrast to classic roller trainers, the controllable electromagnetic brake system can be used to apply power of up to 1500 watts. This means that the ROLLR offers enough reserves for intensive training sessions and explosive sprint intervals. The high power reserves are made possible by a 4.7 kilogram flywheel in combination with the highly developed, smart KICKR brake unit.
For targeted training, the ROLLR can brake controlled resistances in ergometer or level mode without a power meter on the bike. If you use an external power meter, you can control the ROLLR via all common training apps such as Zwift. The ROLLR can also be connected to the Zwift app without an external power meter. Your power is then calculated based on your speed using the Zwift Virtual Power function. However, smart adjustment of the resistance to the terrain is not possible without an external power meter. For targeted training, the ROLLR can apply controlled resistance in ergometer, level or simulation mode without a power meter on the bike.
If no smartphone or tablet is available, the ROLLR can also be operated via the ELEMNT GPS bike computer and routes and training sessions recorded on the device can be simulated. For watt-controlled training with dynamic resistance, the ROLLR can be paired with the Wahoo POWRLINK Zero pedals or other external ANT+ power meters.
