For weight optimization and a better way of adapting to the particular application is dispensed with SRAM on a sprocket spider. This not only increases the rigidity of the crank system, but also reduces the weight, as some additional components can be saved.
The replacement of the chainring is similar to the previous crank, but the crank must be dismantled for this case. However, by eliminating the spider, an even greater variety of usable translations, down to 26 teeth, is available.
This feature makes the new Truvativ Descendant even more adaptable. The chainrings have a special tooth profile, X-SYNC 2, which prevents the chain from bouncing even in rough conditions and thus reliably held in position even without a chain guide.
