Just the inexpensive little brother of the Capital SL - no, with the Capital 1.0s Aero you get one of the best wheels the market has to offer. With it on your road bike, the competition will only see you from behind and will definitely be jealous of the extraordinary look.
The perfectly finished rim is a real eye-catcher. Made of high-quality carbon fibers, it is stable and can withstand even hard impacts. The rim height of 60 mm guarantees excellent streamlining, but still has a certain degree of flexibility and comfort. Nevertheless, it is stiff enough to provide excellent directional stability even on fast descents. In addition to stability and aerodynamics, the cross-section of the rim plays an important role in performance. Syncros opted for a rim flange without hooks. This is reinforced to withstand hard impacts. In addition, the tire fits better on the sidewall, which ensures a perfect seal, especially when riding tubeless. The inner width of the rim is very generous at 25 mm. Even wider tires are given a rounded shape and are reliably supported, so you always have a direct ride feel and the best grip.
DT Swiss Aerolite spokes connect the rim to the hub. Thanks to their blade shape with a flattened center section, they offer excellent aerodynamics and also save weight. The double crossing together with the Pro Lock nipples generates a very stiff wheel. In addition, the straight design eliminates the risk of broken spokes because there is no sensitive bend.
At the center of the wheel is a DT Swiss 240 hub. Not much needs to be said about it. Its indestructibility and reliability have been proven a thousand times over and it fits perfectly into the overall appearance of the Capital 1.0s Aero. The smooth-running bearings, perfect sealing and ease of maintenance make it the first choice for this task and guarantee high mileage.The toothed pulley freehub system with its large contact surface and 36 engagement points ensures extremely efficient power transmission and impresses with its cool sound.
As always, Syncros has succeeded in developing an advanced and lightweight wheel that also has a low inertia load, so you will not only be impressed by it when gliding along quickly on flat terrain, but it also shows its strengths on hilly terrain or in sprints.
NOTE: Due to the hookless profile, the Syncros Capital wheels are only suitable for use with ETRTO-compliant tubeless tires.
