With the NX Eagle, SRAM presents an affordable entry to their worry-free 12-speed speed drives. The gear range of 455% covers all intended use from the plains to the high mountains, without having to accept the additional weight and poorer shifting performance of a front derailleur. Thanks to the robust cassette, the NX Eagle is the only e-bike compatible 12-speed groupset.

After the Eagle components have established themselves on the market, the Americans from SRAM are coming up with the next big coup in 2018 to further optimize mountain bike drives. DUB technology not only simplifies the combination of crankshaft and bottom bracket, it also ensures greater durability of the bottom bracket. SRAM DUB cranks have a uniform shaft diameter of 28.99 millimeters. Thanks to different versions of the completely newly designed and better sealed DUB bottom brackets, the cranks are compatible with all common bottom bracket shells. The aluminum crankshafts have also been revised, which means the weight of the DUB crank sets has been reduced compared to their predecessors.
Made from aluminum 6000, the NX Eagle DUB crank arms can withstand occasional crashes and stone chips. The crank is complemented by an X-Sync 2 Direct Mount chainring. This impresses with its significantly smoother running of the chain and better self-cleaning in muddy conditions compared to its 11-speed predecessor. With the proven alternating thick-thin tooth profile, which is tailored to the SRAM Eagle chains, it always keeps the chain securely in place. Made of steel, the chainring has an extremely long service life and its robustness makes it ideal for e-bike drives.

No matter whether pedal-heavy descents or the steepest ramps, the PG-1230 cassette with 11-50 teeth provides you with the right gears in every terrain. The SRAM Powerglide tooth profiles and climbing aids ensure smooth and precise shifting at all times.
Chain
The NX Eagle chain was developed specifically for the requirements of the 12-speed speed drive. The full pin construction makes the chain extremely robust and durable. The revised PowerLock chain lock has a longer service life and is even easier to use.
Rear derailleur
With its 1-speed specific X-Horizon design, the NX Eagle rear derailleur adopts numerous technologies from the XX1 Eagle top group. The large offset of the upper pulley ensures a constant chain distance and ensures precise shifting. A lower rear derailleur pulley with 14 teeth ensures that the chain runs smoothly and with less resistance. The smoother running of the chain is supported by the optimized Type 3.0 cage damping, which effectively prevents the chain from hitting on rough terrain. The extremely high tension of the rear derailleur cage and X-Sync pulleys tailored to the chain prevent the chain from falling off, even on the roughest trails.
Triggers
The NX Eagle Trigger is the control center of the groupset. Only the thumb of the right hand is needed to pass on the switching commands. This means you can concentrate on what's important on the trail: choosing the right line! The new 12-speed switching mechanism of the trigger ensures smooth and precise switching processes and is very durable. Its Exact Actuation technology ensures consistent and smooth gear changes throughout the entire gear range. For a tidy cockpit and best ergonomics, the NX Eagle Shifter can be mounted with the SRAM Matchmaker or Matchmaker X.
