The Spatzwear Shield goggles were developed exclusively for cyclists and offer an excellent field of vision and a high level of protection. Your vision will no longer be impaired by the frame and no more dirt will get into your eyes, especially when a clear view is required, e.g. to master the next bend. Road racing? Check. Gravel? Check. Time trial? Check. With Shield you are perfectly equipped. The key design feature of the new goggles is the position and tilt of the lenses. The frame architecture has been specially developed to optimally position the lenses in relation to your eyes, cheekbones, eyebrows and nose. When cycling, the demands on eyewear change dramatically; the head tilts downwards while the eyes look up towards the horizon. Despite their light weight, they provide a feeling of protection and strength and are also a visual highlight.

Spatzwear is the result of countless cold, wet miles in the Yorkshire Dales and the brainchild of Tom Barras, a professional cyclist. After longing for a solution to cold, wet feet while cycling, he developed the first prototypes at the dinner table in 2006. It wasn't until 2016, after a meeting on an icy bike ride with a triathlete in Yorkshire, that the Spatz prototypes were further developed and became a game changer in terms of overshoe systems and functional clothing.
