ROTOR Powermeter Set MTB INSpider | Kapic crank 1-speed | 52 mm chainline | NoQ-Ring
The INSpider power meter fits perfectly into the modular Rotor crankset system. In combination with the lightweight Kapic aluminum crank arms, the power meter set is designed for use on MTBs. Technically, the INSpider lies between the 2INPower and INPower power measurement systems from Rotor. While the INPower only measures the power in one crank arm, the INSpider determines the power of both legs via 4 counter-rotating strain gauges. This enables a precise performance analysis of pedalling and potential for improvement can be made visible. However, it is not possible to analyze both legs separately, as is possible with the 2INPower's separate measurement on both sides. The system automatically compensates for measurement deviations due to temperature fluctuations. However, the INSpider should be calibrated manually via a compatible ANT+/Bluetooth bike computer or the Rotor software after mounting or changing the chainrings and at least once a month. Thanks to its fully encapsulated measurement technology, the power meter is insensitive to environmental influences and completely waterproof thanks to a magnetic charging connection. The permanently integrated rechargeable battery ensures an operating time of up to 200 hours.
Another highlight of the system is the TORQUE 360 evaluation option. Rotor's proprietary software can be used to analyze the torque curve during a pedal rotation. This measurement technology is particularly valuable for riders who use Rotor's oval Q-ring chainrings. Using the OCA (optimized-chainring-angle) system, the software can determine the optimum position of the Q-Rings. This allows you to apply your power to the pedal even more effectively.
The crank arms are hollow drilled in 3 channels up to the axle using the Trinity Drilling System. The material removed only has a minimal effect on the stiffness of the crank. The necessary stiffness and stability is achieved through lightweight construction and large outer diameters. The crank arms have rubberized bumpers to protect them against abrasion and stone chips.
