With this wheelset you can really let it rip even in difficult terrain. The indestructible DT Swiss hubs and the superbly crafted Duke rims are forgiving of the occasional riding error, while the well-balanced selection of components guarantees you a high level of reliability and a long service life.
The innovative "Mullet" design gives you the advantages of two wheel sizes in one bike. The 29" front wheel generates maximum grip and low rolling resistance, while the smaller rear wheel increases maneuverability and rear clearance and reduces weight.
Hubs
Switzerland is known for good chocolate, first-class cheese and marvels of precision engineering. The dedication to detail that goes into these products is also reflected in the DT Swiss 350 hubs. Above all, the love of mechanics is easy to see. Thanks to their simple but well thought-out design, the current 350 hubs have become significantly lighter compared to the previous versions. The proven ratchet freehub system of the DT-Swiss 240 hubs makes the hubs an extremely reliable companion. Compared to ratchet pawl systems, the ratchet freehub offers a more even power transmission, which significantly reduces wear. Even in the standard version with 36 teeth, the hub responds very directly to pedaling. With the DEG model, virtually no free travel is noticeable. The new shape of the end caps makes disassembly even easier, making it even easier to convert to other axle standards.
Rims
The DUKE Fury Jack SLS2 6Ters is the new flagship from the current Enduro series and the preferred choice of Rémy Absalon, the multiple winner of the Mégavalanche downhill race. The aluminium Fury Star, its little sister, is in no way inferior, but is of course considerably cheaper. The heavy-duty version has been further reinforced for downhill use or for tandems and is approved for a maximum system weight of 150 kg.
The rims have an asymmetrical rim profile, which enables a more even spoke angle. This optimization of the spoke angle has a number of advantages. The spoke tension on both sides can be better aligned, which is beneficial to the durability of the spokes and the wheel as a whole. The normally direction-dependent lateral stiffness is also adjusted, making the wheel more stable.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to give the first owner a lifetime guarantee against spoke breakage, as long as it was not caused by force.

You get a universal wheel bag for all common sizes included.
You will receive a spare spoke with nipple in all required spoke lengths so that you can repair the wheel quickly after an accident.
Within 2 years of purchase, you will receive a free initial inspection of the wheel, during which the resulting work is completely free of charge. Only shipping costs are incurred.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged within 2 years of purchase due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
