This wheelset can also withstand the special loads of an e-bike drive. The indestructible Tune hubs and the excellently manufactured and lightweight Newmen rims forgive the occasional riding error. The balanced selection of components guarantees you high reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
The Micro hub set is the ideal introduction to the world of lightweight MTB hubs from Tune. As you would expect from Tune, the new Micro Boost hubs are CNC-milled from 7075 aluminum. The special feature of the front hub is a new hub flange that does not require a carbon ring. The symmetrical design ensures optimum balance of the front wheel. The POEtry138 freehub mechanism keeps play to a minimum when starting off, so that direct power transmission is possible. The J-bend flanges make the hubs particularly stable yet lightweight.
Like all Tune hubs, the Micro Boost is produced, milled and assembled entirely in the Black Forest.
Rims
Advanced becomes Phase - Newmen provides a special rim for every area of application within this series. Whether cross-country, all-mountain or enduro, you will always receive an uncompromisingly customized model, but they all have one thing in common: Newmen's high quality.
The Phase Base front and rear or in combination with a Phase Strong rim on the rear wheel are the first choice for anyone who really wants to let it rip. They shine with low weight and first-class riding characteristics. The perfectly processed carbon fibers are extremely impact-resistant and give the rim incredible stability. This means that precise steering movements are possible at all times. A special production process makes reworking and painting unnecessary. This saves even more grams.
The very generous inner width of 30 mm, together with the slightly outward-positioned sidewall, gives the tire an optimally round shape, which is reflected in better grip and more comfort.Newmen has opted for a hookless rim flange, which has been specially reinforced to better withstand possible punctures. This means that you can ride with less air pressure and achieve optimum tubeless compatibility.
Spokes
The Race spoke is the classic from Sapim. It is a round spoke with a butted center section with a diameter of 1.8 mm. This provides more damping than non-tapered spokes. In addition, short load peaks can be better digested. The Race spoke enables very stiff and stable wheels for practically any application. The weight including nipple is approx. 6.95g per piece.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled completely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to give the first owner a lifetime guarantee against spoke breakage, as long as it was not caused by force.

You will receive a spare spoke with nipple in all required spoke lengths so that you can repair the wheel quickly after an accident.
Within 2 years of purchase, you will receive a free initial inspection of the wheel, during which the resulting work is completely free of charge. Only shipping costs are incurred.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged within 2 years of purchase due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
