DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs
Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the new DT Swiss 240 hubs. These properties have been achieved thanks to the Ratchet EXP technology. This not only means that the hubs have fewer components and therefore lower weight and less wear, it also allows the bearing to be positioned much further out on the drive side. The greater distance between the bearings results in greater hub rigidity, lower bearing loads and therefore greater durability. The stiffness on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Drive and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. One-sided load peaks are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim. The super reliable toothed pulley freehub system with its large contact surface and 36 engagement points ensures extremely direct and reliable power transmission.
Duke Baccara 36 SLR2 Ultra rims
Summit conquerors will be delighted with this lightweight rim. Duke has broken all limits with this rim. A weight of approx. 300g with a rim height of 36 mm is unrivaled. Nevertheless, safety has not been spared, as it is approved for a system weight of 95 kg.
How did the French achieve this? They took a closer look at the individual elements of the rim and looked for ways to optimize them. In particular, a new resin was used. This not only made it possible to reduce weight, but also to increase impact resistance. Thanks to the SLS2 production process, no reworking or painting is necessary after production. The use of highly modular carbon fibres also improves the inherent damping, which in turn has a positive effect on riding comfort. The modified design enables unrestricted tubeless use and brings measurable aerodynamic benefits.
In the Ultra version, material has also been saved in non-critical areas in order to reduce weight without compromising functionality.
The rims have an asymmetrical rim profile, which enables a more even spoke angle. This optimization of the spoke angle has a number of advantages. The tension on both sides can be better aligned, which is beneficial to the durability of the spokes and the wheel as a whole. The normally direction-dependent lateral stiffness is also equalized, making the wheel more stable.

With the CX-Ray, Sapim has succeeded in developing an exceptional spoke. In addition to its low weight, it has an exceptional load capacity and flexibility. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible.
