New name, same passion: the still young Berg brand becomes PORTE. The founders started the brand with a simple mission. They wanted to develop the best possible lightweight products for ambitious MTB marathon and cross-country riders at an affordable price. In order to be equipped for tough racing conditions, no compromises were made in terms of durability when developing the PORTE components. Behind the brand is a small team of dedicated mountain bikers, engineers and bike mechanics from Belgium.
With 0 degrees of upsweep and no rise, the PORTE handlebar is an uncompromising race flatbar that is ideal for a low cockpit. With a width of 760 millimeters, it weighs just 105 to 110 grams, making it one of the lightest handlebars on the market. The wide oversized area in the middle of the handlebar ensures high rigidity on the trails. A sandwich construction of 3K carbon on the inside and UD carbon cover layers ensure an optimum balance between shock-absorbing properties and stiffness. For smaller riders, the handlebars can be shortened to a width of 620 millimeters (shortening lines up to 720 mm available), which reduces the weight to 84 grams.
In order to guarantee the safety of their components, all PORTE components have undergone extensive testing in Germany in accordance with ISO standards, in addition to intensive test rides. In order to guarantee the high quality standards in the long term, the tests are repeated for different product batches.
In addition to the 2-year warranty, PORTE offers a 3-year crash replacement with a 40% discount on all components. For a smaller environmental footprint, all PORTE components are supplied in 100% recyclable packaging.
