Nova Ride is a young French company that specializes in the development and manufacture of high-quality bicycle components. Since its foundation in Clermont-Ferrand in 2016, the brand has stood for high-performance, reliable products at a fair price. Standing still is not an option for the French. In order to continuously push the limits of performance, development work, supported by modern software, is constantly being incorporated into the product range. As if that wasn't enough, the company relies on feedback from world teams and carries out extensive wind tunnel tests.
Months of development and optimization work allowed Nova Ride to bring their most efficient derailleur cage system to the market with the CCD Aero Cage. To reduce drag, special attention was paid to optimizing the frontal area combined with improved flow control in tailwinds. This is made possible by the unique wing profile based on aviation with closed front and rear sections. Even the screws have been aerodynamically optimized and perfectly integrated into the cage.To compensate for the additional material for the closed 3K carbon cage compared to the standard version, the wall thicknesses of the ultra-light carbon panels have been reduced by 33% in some areas. Structural stability is not negatively affected.
All-ceramic dry ball bearings
The all-ceramic dry bearings are designed for maximum service life. The absence of grease and lubricants eliminates the need for time-consuming, regular maintenance. Thanks to the uniform hardness of the ceramic material used, both for the balls and the cage, friction is significantly minimized and wear is reduced. The result: noticeably higher efficiency and a considerably longer service life.
3K carbon cage
Each carbon plate made of 3K fibers was specially developed depending on the model, including an adapted material thickness. The cage structure itself was designed using topological optimization so that the material is used exactly where it is most effective under load. The shapes were then specifically reworked to achieve an ideal balance between weight, rigidity and aesthetic appeal.
Aluminum 7075 derailleur pulleys
The choice of derailleur pulleys made of 7075 alloy aluminum ensures outstanding mechanical strength and high durability. Thanks to the excellent material properties and a precisely controlled anodization, they offer low wear and a permanently attractive appearance.
NOTE: The rear derailleur shown is for illustrative purposes only and is not included in the scope of delivery. When traveling, please remember to remove the complete rear derailleur with an Allen key, as very few bicycle transport bags offer sufficient space for the oversized rear derailleur cage.
