If you ask the community for the best-known upside-down suspension fork, one name will come up quite clearly: "DORADO". This downhill fork won many podium finishes back in the early 2000s.
A lot has changed since then, of course, but it has always remained true to the upside-down principle.
Compared to the Comp or Expert versions, the Dorado Pro offers a carbon stanchion unit. In combination with the Dorado Air air spring, this results in the lowest overall weight in the Dorado family without compromising on stability. The adaptability offered by the Dorado Air air spring and the sensitive TPC+ damping ensures you always have the right amount of riding fun, whether you're at maximum airtime in the bike park or chasing times downhill. All this with a precision that only an upside-down fork can offer.
37 MM CHASSIS
An enormous increase in stiffness in direct comparison to the 36 mm chassis of the previous version. 27 % stiffer in the forward/backward direction and 22 % stiffer in the torsional direction.
UPSIDE DOWN DESIGN
Ensures incredibly sensitive response and a smooth ride. Constant lubrication of the bushings and seals improves function and reduces wear.
DORADO AIR+
The air suspension systems contain a unique equalizing valve that balances the positive and negative air chambers during the air filling process. This gives the spring rate a consistent feel with no dead spots in the stroke, which together gives riders of different weights the same response. The travel is also internally adjustable from 180 mm to 190 mm and 203 mm.
IRT (Infinite Rate Tune)
Enables advanced spring tuning by changing the air pressure independently at the beginning and end of the stroke. A secondary air spring is used, which has its efficiency between the middle and end of the stroke. This allows the main air spring to be set to lower pressures to improve sensitivity on small bumps while maintaining support in the middle of the stroke and moderate to intense rise at the end of the stroke.
TPC+ DAMPER
The Dorado Pro features the TPC+ damper (Twin Piston Cartridge), which is a damping circuit that works depending on speed and position. It provides light damping on small bumps when the fork is at the top of its travel. If the fork uses more travel, the secondary TPC+ circuit intervenes and increases the damping force for additional support and to prevent bottoming out.
ONE FOR ALL
The fork is suitable for 27.5" and 29" wheels. Markings on the fork legs help you to find the correct clamping point for the fork crown. The offset can be adjusted with different triple clamps. 47 mm offset is optimized for 27.5" wheels, 57 mm offset for 29". When using the flat crown (not included) with 29" wheels, the maximum usable head tube length including headset is reduced to 121 mm.
TSR BLEED SCREWS
Thanks to the TSR screws, you can release excess pressure from your fork legs. This gives you consistent performance from sunrise to sunset.
FENDER
The supplied Dorado fender provides the necessary protection and can be screwed directly into the fork crown with four screws or fixed with cable ties as required.
