The MT5 has been Magura's flagship for years when it comes to excellent braking performance at an affordable price.
In the PRO version of the MT5 you get a complete set of brakes including Storm HC brake discs with a diameter of 180 and 203 mm. In addition, the slightly shorter HC 1-finger lever is already installed ex works.
The proven 4-piston technology from motorcycle racing, which has been adapted for use on bikes, promises maximum braking power. The brake caliper, forged from one piece, has a particularly high level of rigidity. Magura's 4-piston technology combined with optimal ergonomics of the brake lever result in a performance package with which you can confidently tackle any terrain, no matter how difficult, with infinite composure. The MT5 PRO is also perfectly suited for S-Pedelecs. The 1-finger brake levers made of aluminum are easy to hold and allow easy and precise dosing of the braking power even during long braking processes. The use of Carbotecture technology on the brake lever housing helps the MT5 to be lighter. Thanks to the radial encoder design, internal friction is reduced to a minimum, which reduces transmission losses, optimizes dosing and results in sensitive braking.
Magura has also ensured that the MT5 PRO is easy to use. The lever width of the ergonomic 1-finger brake lever can be adjusted on the lever with a 3 mm Allen key. The brake pistons are magnetic for an easy pad change and thus guarantee a perfect fit in the brake caliper. Due to the increased piston retraction, the MT5 brake can be adjusted particularly carefree in continuous use and reliably without grinding in direct comparison to the MT7.
