The Magura MT Trail SL is the optimum in terms of braking performance combined with weight in the Magura range. This brake perfectly occupies the important and exciting range between MT8 and MT7, giving bikers the ultimate choice for their use, their bike and - very importantly - their weight, to choose the right braking performance. In addition, MAGURA will offer a selection of different Brake Pads and rotor sizes for every application.
With its 4 brake pistons at the front and 2 brake pistons at the rear, it is optimally designed for trail and enduro use. With a weight of just 453 grams (without disc), it is one of the absolute lightweights in its segment. The low weight is achieved, among other things, by the master unit made of Magura's newly developed Carbotecture SL material, which consists of a high proportion of carbon fibers embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. Thanks to the Carboflow process, Magura can use this material in a load-optimized manner and create homogeneous surfaces.
Magura has also ensured that the MT Trail SL is easy to use. The lever width of the ergonomic 1-finger HC brake lever can be adjusted using a hexagon socket. The brake pistons are magnetic for easy pad changes, guaranteeing a perfect fit of the Brake Pads.
The new Storm HC rotor ensures optimum heat dissipation. Compared to its predecessor, it is now 10% lighter and has an optimized friction area. This increases braking performance with lower wear values.
NOTE: thanks to the flip-flop design of the brake lever, it can be used on the right or left side.
MAGURA Storm HC 203/180 mm | 6-hole brake rotor
Magura has significantly revised the Storm HC rotors compared to the normal Storm rotor and improved them in all areas. For example, it is more heat-resistant and offers consistent braking performance under extreme loads. Compared to its Storm brothers, the rotor is slightly thicker at 2 mm, which has a positive effect on noise development.
