Tech 4 lever
The Tech 4 brake lever has not only changed a lot visually, Hope has also taken a big step forward in terms of its technical features. The reservoir has been enlarged and redesigned, allowing the Tech 4 brake lever to transmit 30% more braking force. For a particularly light lever feel, the spring rate has been reduced and the brake piston is guided. The smooth operation is supported by an industrial ball bearing at the pivot point. The brake lever has been made longer for better modulation and more control on the trail.
The lever width and pressure point can still be adjusted without tools. The two-piece clamp for attachment to the handlebars simplifies installation, as nothing needs to be removed from the handlebars for installation. Matching Hope Matchmakers for SRAM triggers and exclusively Shimano EV triggers can be attached to a thread on the underside of the reservoir.
X2 pliers
The filigree X2 caliper is the result of development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This makes it possible to reduce weight, improve aesthetics and produce the ideal partner for the Tech lever. As usual, the pliers are milled from 2014 T6 aluminum. The diameter of the pistons has been increased in order to transfer more braking force to the brake disk. The sealed bleed nipples ensure easier maintenance and the more protruding fluid outlet simplifies the routing of the line. The brake pads, which can be fitted from above, also contribute to easy handling. The brake is fully anodized and features laser-engraved HOPE logos for a super classy look and long service life.
Steel flex line
These elegant lines ensure an improved pressure point, longer service life and an ingenious look. They also effectively prevent the hose from tearing or kinking in the event of a fall. The only disadvantage is the additional weight.
Hybrid pistons
The hybrid pistons made of steel and phenol are easier to move and require less maintenance. The use of phenol also ensures better heat dissipation under extreme loads.
