Tech 4 lever
The Tech 4 brake lever has not only changed a lot visually, Hope has also taken a big step forward in terms of technical features. The reservoir has been enlarged and redesigned, allowing the Tech 4 brake lever to transmit 30% more braking force. For a particularly light lever feel, the spring rate has been reduced and the brake piston is guided. The smooth operation is supported by an industrial ball bearing at the pivot point. The brake lever has been made longer for better modulation and more control on the trail.
The lever width and pressure point can still be adjusted without tools. The two-piece clamp for attachment to the handlebars simplifies installation, as nothing needs to be removed from the handlebars for installation. Suitable Hope Matchmakers for SRAM triggers and Shimano EV triggers only can be attached to a thread on the underside of the reservoir.
V4 brake caliper
The very stiff V4 with large cooling fins is ready for anything. High braking power, excellent modulation and a thermal dimensioning that reliably brings even the heaviest riders to a halt in the toughest terrain.
The caliper, milled as usual from 2014 T6 aluminum, is the result of development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This makes it possible to reduce weight, improve aesthetics and produce the ideal partner for the Tech lever. The sealed bleed nipples ensure easier maintenance and the more protruding fluid outlet simplifies cable routing.
The brake pads can be easily removed upwards and make wheel removal unnecessary when changing them. The unique feature of this enormous brake calliper is the high internal width, which makes it possible to use internally ventilated brake discs!
Steel flex lines
These elegant lines ensure an improved pressure point, longer service life and an ingenious look! They also effectively prevent the hose from tearing or kinking in the event of a fall. The only disadvantage is the additional weight.
Hybrid pistons
The hybrid pistons made of steel and phenol are easier to move and require less maintenance. The use of phenol also ensures better heat dissipation under extreme loads.
