Gelu Carbon Creation was brought to life in 2013 by Anghel Ivanof. Anghel has more than 20 years of experience in processing composite materials. It all started in the early 1990s with the manufacture and repair of carbon components for e.g. B. Speedboats, canoes and surfboards.
After an excursion into aviation technology, which began in 1999, in 2005 it was time to apply the knowledge gained for the production of high-quality bicycle parts. The first prototype of a carbon saddle saw the light of day in 2006.
Thanks to the close collaboration with an orthopedic surgeon, an engineer and some of the best Portuguese athletes, a product has been developed step by step that also meets the needs of the best athletes.
During the development of the F series, the focus was on maximum comfort, such as that offered by a saddle with conventional steel suspension. The result is an extremely comfortable saddle which absorbs most of the vibrations and shocks thanks to its unique carbon spring.
The central opening in the saddlecloth reliably prevents pressure on the prostate region. The Gelu F-series is one of the few spring-loaded saddle series that weighs less than 100g.
Each Gelu Carbon saddle is handcrafted in Portugal. For maximum comfort and safety, all saddles are checked and certified by an orthopedic surgeon. So even after the longest tour you can get off your bike with a smile. A perfect finish also pampers the eye and leaves nothing to be desired about the finished product.
