Gelu Carbon Creation was brought to life in 2013 by Anghel Ivanof. Anghel has more than 20 years of experience in the processing of composite materials, starting in the early 1990s with the manufacture and repair of carbon components for racing boats, canoes and surfboards.
After an excursion into aeronautical engineering, which began in 1999, it was time to apply the knowledge gained to the production of high-quality bicycle parts in 2005. The first prototype of a carbon saddle saw the light of day in 2006.
Thanks to the close collaboration with an orthopaedist, an engineer and some of the best Portuguese athletes, a product was developed step by step that also meets the requirements of the best athletes.
With the 20 gon Concept Flatbar, the carbon specialists from Portugal offer a handlebar that provides you with maximum stability at a low weight.
The unique layer structure consists of 20-sided polygons, which are arranged perfectly symmetrically to each other. The unique mix of UD and woven carbon pre-pregs has made it possible to design an extremely light handlebar that is approved for riders weighing up to 120 kg.
