Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the DT Swiss 180 hubs, which have been further developed with the new RATCHET EXP technology. The super reliable freewheel system ensures direct power transmission without losses. Another smooth advantage is provided by the smooth running SINC Ceramic ball bearings; they ensure minimal rolling resistance. The rigidity on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Drive and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. One-sided load peaks are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim.
DT Swiss hubs stand for the simplest construction and highest reliability. The latter is achieved with the 180 hubs with smooth-running, durable hybrid ceramic bearings. Thanks to the use of complex seals and bearing sizes adapted to the loads, the hubs can do without adjusting the bearing play. So the driver does not have to worry about the function of the hubs for years! Should a service be necessary after tens of thousands of kilometers, the hubs can be dismantled and serviced within a few minutes thanks to the DT Swiss plug-in system.
