DT SWISS rear wheel 28" P 1800 Spline Disc Brake 23 mm | 12x142 mm thru axle | Freewheel Shimano Road
With the P 1800, DT SWISS offers extremely robust all-round road bike wheels with aluminum rims at a low price. Their slotted aluminum rims with an inner width of 20 millimeters also give 28 millimeter wide road bike tires a good shape and good grip at low air pressure. The rim profile is of course tubeless-ready and the appropriate tubeless valve and tubeless tape are included in the scope of delivery. In order to achieve a more even spoke tension, the P 1800 wheels are built up by hand.
DT Swiss 370 hubs
For even greater reliability, the 370 hubs have been upgraded to the DT-SWISS Ratchet System. The built-in Ratchet-LN toothed disc freewheel differs from the proven Ratchet system only in that the sealing ring is seated differently. Due to the larger-area power transmission via an 18-tooth system, the system can transmit significantly larger forces than a pawl freewheel and is less susceptible to wear.
DT Swiss New Aero II straight pull spokes
The New Aero spokes have high tensile strength at low weight. At the same time, the aerodynamics of the wheels are improved.
Pro Lock technology
During the Pro Lock process, a patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread and enables the construction of extremely durable wheels. As soon as the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and fully hardens at room temperature after approx. 6 - 7 hours. Repeated re-centering is still possible without any problems, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.
