CRC 1400 carbon rim
Carbon has also become the first choice of rim material for DT Swiss. Thanks to their low weight and steering precision, they are very maneuverable and you can react at lightning speed in any racing situation. The 35 mm high sidewall also significantly reduces braking air turbulence. Its shape was developed according to the DT Swiss AERO+ concept and shows its advantages especially in crosswinds. Air currents hitting the rim at an angle create a sailing effect, which gives you additional propulsion and allows you to save power. The internal nipples also increase aerodynamics and give the wheel a clean look.
DT Swiss has opted for a hook profile so that the tire sits securely on the rim even when riding with high air pressure. Thanks to the 22 mm inner width, even large-volume tires are perfectly supported, which prevents them from buckling in fast bends and ensures greater riding stability and better damping capacity. In addition, the rim is of course designed for tubeless systems, allowing you to ride with lower air pressure and further improving comfort and grip.
DT Swiss 240 Spline hub
At the center is the proven DT Swiss 240 hub with its striking spline design. Its legendary status is based on its ultimate reliability. Its proven construction withstands even the toughest conditions and guarantees reliable propulsion at all times with the ratchet EXP pulley freehub. Thanks to the large-area power transmission via 36 teeth, the system can transmit significantly greater forces than a pawl freehub and is less susceptible to wear.In addition, the hub body is very low-torsion thanks to the intelligent design and can transmit the drive and braking forces even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. It also impresses with its low weight and ensures a long service life and low maintenance thanks to the perfectly sealed bearings.
DT Swiss Aero Comp Straightpull spokes with Pro Lock nipples
Thanks to their blade shape, the spokes also give the wind little surface to attack and thus support the good aerodynamics of the wheel. The middle section was flattened using the cold forging process and also ensures high material strength. The straight design and the elimination of the highly stressed spoke bend also eliminates a potential breakage point and minimizes susceptibility to punctures
In the Pro Lock process, a patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, enabling the construction of extremely durable wheels. As soon as the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and hardens completely at room temperature after approx. 6 - 7 hours. Repeated re-centering is still possible without any problems, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly each time.
