Aero aluminum rim
The high-quality aluminum rim with its 30 mm high flank reduces braking air turbulence to a minimum. Its shape was developed according to the DT Swiss AERO+ concept and shows its advantages especially in crosswinds. Air currents hitting at an angle create a sailing effect, which gives you additional propulsion and allows you to save power. The internal nipples also increase aerodynamics and give the wheel a clean look.
The 20 mm inner width provides the tire with perfect support, which prevents it from kinking in fast bends and ensures greater riding stability. In addition, the rim is of course designed for tubeless systems, allowing you to ride with a lower air pressure and improving comfort and grip.
The workmanship is of a high standard. The rim ends are joined together using the sleeve-joint method. In this process, a molded part is pressed evenly into both ends of the rim profile and the rim is joined together. In addition, the shot-peened surface largely resists stone chips so that it appears as good as new even after many rides.
DT Swiss 370 Spline hub
At the center of the wheel is a DT Swiss 370 hub. Thanks to its tried and tested design, it can withstand even the toughest conditions and always guarantees reliable propulsion with the Ratchet LN ratchet freehub. Thanks to the more extensive power transmission via 18 teeth, the system can transmit significantly greater forces compared to a pawl freehub and is less susceptible to wear. The perfectly sealed bearings and high quality workmanship also ensure a long service life.
DT Swiss Aero Comp Wide Straightpull spokes with Pro Lock nipples
Thanks to their blade shape, the spokes also give the wind little surface to attack and thus support the good aerodynamics of the wheel. The middle section was flattened using the cold forging process and also ensures high material strength. The straight design and the elimination of the highly stressed spoke bend also eliminates a potential breakage point and minimizes susceptibility to punctures
In the Pro Lock process, a patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, enabling the construction of extremely durable wheels. As soon as the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and hardens completely at room temperature after approx. 6 - 7 hours. Multiple re-centering is still possible without any problems, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.
