The 1700 Spline wheels are the lightest wheel series with aluminum rims in the DT Swiss range. Built with high-quality components and the usual Swiss precision in every detail, they are the perfect everyday wheelset. Thanks to their lightweight aluminum rims, however, they are also ideal for racing.
Revised DT Swiss 350 hubs
The 1700 Spline wheels are fitted with specially revised versions of the proven DT Swiss 350 hubs. With their high bearing quality and excellent seals, they are also ideally suited for adverse conditions. In contrast to the standard version, the 1700 wheels use a 36 Ratchet SL ratchet freehub system with a very direct response.
EX 511 Enduro rims
With their large inner width of 30 millimetres, the installed EX 511 Enduro rims offer modern Enduro tires very good support at low air pressures. Their wall thicknesses have been chosen so that they are stable enough to satisfy the best Enduro riders and yet light enough for uphill riding. The rim profile is of course designed for tubeless use and is supplied with tubeless tape and a suitable tubeless valve.
DT Swiss Competition Straightpull spokes
The Spline wheels are built exclusively with straight-pull spokes. This ensures a very high level of stiffness in the wheel and, by eliminating the sensitive spoke bend, a very high level of durability. In addition, the Competition spokes save weight thanks to their tapered middle section, without negatively affecting the durability of the wheel.
PHR nipple system
Stands for Pro Head Reinforcement System, in which the nipple and rim form a kind of ball joint. This ensures a flatter contact surface between the nipple and rim, making it easier to align the nipple. As a result, the spokes are always at the correct angle to the rim and the forces can be transmitted better. The DT Squorx nipples have a Torx socket on the underside, which ensures a better tool holder for more precise centering. On the outside, the Squorx nipples can still be tightened with a conventional standard nipple wrench.
