CONTINENTAL tire Top Contact Winter II Premium 26" x 2.2 | 55 - 559 VectranBreaker ECO50

Conti has transferred over a hundred years of experience in dealing with tires and winter weather conditions from car tires to bicycle tires. Tires in this series are designed for temperatures between -25° and +7°, a temperature range where conventional tires have long since lost their grip. This is where the Top Contact Winter II Premium tires unfold their full potential: the sipe tread interlocks with snow and cold, wet surfaces to provide the necessary grip. On snow and slippery roads, they are clearly superior to spikes.

Handmade in Germany
These tires are among the highest quality produced by Continental. They are sewn by hand at the factory in Korbach and set special standards in terms of workmanship and quality.

Vectran Breaker
Higher puncture resistance and lower weight are the advantages of the Vectran breaker. Vectran is more cut-resistant than aramid, 5 times more tensile than steel and lighter than a nylon thread, without affecting rolling resistance. This makes it the ideal protective layer for tires. Vectran was developed for airbag systems in the automotive and aerospace industries.

ECO50
The tires with the ECO50 logo benefit from over 100 years of experience in the development of moped and motorcycle tires. Optimized and recommended for pedelecs up to 50 km/h, they guarantee low rolling resistance and good puncture protection thanks to their particularly high-quality construction. The durability has been specially tested for e-bikes to counteract premature wear caused by the additional drive power. All models equipped with the ECO50 logo have the ECE-R 75 test mark, which permits use on fast pedelecs up to 50 km/h.
