The Oversized Pulley Wheel System X (OSPW X) from CeramicSpeed is the logical consequence for minimizing friction. The large rear derailleur pulleys with 14 teeth at the top and 18 teeth at the bottom significantly minimize the chain wrap radii, which results in less friction. In addition, the larger rear derailleur pulleys offer a longer service life than other standard systems on the market. Thanks to the narrow-wide profile of the teeth, your chain stays exactly where it belongs in every situation.
Technically, the OSPW X system is equipped with high-performance bearings and special ceramic balls made of third-grade silicon nitride (the best grade achieved for ceramic bearings). The ball bearing cage is made of reinforced polyamide, with a hardened steel race and polished groove. CeramicSpeed bearing balls are 15% harder, 100% smoother and 99% more resilient than standard ceramic balls. CeramicSpeed bearings are considered the best ceramic bearings in the world.
The bearing cage is made of carbon fibers reinforced with polyamide so that the forces can be better distributed and absorbed and your rear derailleur works perfectly even under the most adverse conditions.
Coated version
In contrast to the already high-quality standard bearings from CeramicSpeed, the "coated" version has a wafer-thin protective layer applied to the bearing rings. This makes the latter even harder, extends the life cycle by a further 60% and reduces rolling resistance even further.
Maintenance
It is important to lubricate the bearings carefully to maintain performance and longevity. Simply apply oil to the bearing seals so that the oil can penetrate the bearing. Always do this when lubricating the chain, or after washing the bike, or after riding in wet and muddy conditions.
IMPORTANT
When traveling, please remember to remove the complete rear derailleur, as very few bike transport bags offer sufficient space for the OSPW system.
