CAMPAGNOLO wheelset 28" Gravel Levante Carbon | Freewheel SRAM XDR
Named after a Mediterranean wind, the Levante wheelset is the ideal complement to the Ekar Gravel component group. Engineered for maximum speed, performance and durability, it's stiff enough for fast descents and light enough for brisk climbs.
The newly developed HULC (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon) rims are specially designed for off-road use. This technology is the result of extensive research in which the use of the carbon fiber binder resin mixture was extensively tested. As a result, a very good compromise between rigidity and low weight has been found. The large inner width of 25 millimeters provides very good support for tires up to 76 mm wide and integrates them aerodynamically into the rim profile. The rim flanges are also designed in such a way that there is an almost seamless, streamlined transition between tire and rim. Nevertheless, small mini-hooks have been retained to keep the tire securely on the rim even at very low air pressures when used tubeless. And thanks to the unperforated rim base, there is no need for additional rim tape.
In order to increase the durability of the entire wheel set, the rims have an asymmetrical cross-section. This enables more even spoke angles, which in turn allows the spoke tension between the drive and non-drive side to be brought closer and distributes the loads more evenly.
All HULC rims are given an incomparably smooth mirror surface, the C-Lux finish, during the production process and therefore no longer require post-processing. This saves costs and also unnecessary ballast due to the lack of paint. The decor was lasered and will inspire you forever. It also makes maintenance easier.
The beautiful hubs are of the same high quality. Also made by Campagnolo, they will accompany you for thousands of kilometers. The modern version as a straight pull variant reduces the risk of broken spokes because the weak point in the bow is eliminated. Longevity is primarily guaranteed by the high-quality cone bearings. They can be readjusted as required, which significantly reduces the maintenance effort. Optionally, they can even be exchanged for the legendary Campagnolo CULT ceramic bearings.
