Alugear is based in the beautiful city of Krakow, approx. 250 km southwest of the Polish capital Warsaw. The focus is on the development and production of drive components for bicycles, but the range of products also includes, for example, Ahead caps.
The entire production cycle, from the initial design to the finished product, is carried out entirely by Alugear in Poland. This is the only way to guarantee consistent product quality with low manufacturing tolerances.
The aero design of the matching Alugear 1-speed chainring for the current Dura Ace and Ultegra groupsets not only looks good, it also ensures less air turbulence in the crank area. Its unique tooth profile allows it to be used with SRAM Flattop, Shimano HG+ and Campagnolo 12-speed drivetrains. To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth. The teeth are also shaped in such a way that the chainring is very good at removing mud itself in muddy conditions. Dirt and mud are therefore effectively removed when the chain runs over and friction in the drivetrain is minimized.
