ABSOLUTE BLACK chainring Direct Mount CX oval | 1-speed narrow wide for SRAM crank | black
The Absolute Black chainrings are CNC-milled from a single piece of aluminum, creating the perfect combination of low weight and excellent durability for your bike. The oval shape smoothes the power peaks during crank rotation. This gives you a smoother pedal stroke, especially on hills, and reduces muscle fatigue. The lower power peaks also reduce the strain on your knees.
The CX Direct Mount chainrings have been designed for Sram cranks. With 36 - 42 teeth, they are ideal for use on cyclocross bikes in combination with SRAM's Force CX1 and Rival CX1 cranks. However, they are also suitable for use on MTBs and are also compatible with the SRAM Eagle 12-speed groupsets.
The chainrings have special teeth that prevent the chain from jumping off. The principle follows that of the SRAM XX1 chainrings. In conjunction with a SRAM Type2 or Shimano Shadow+ rear derailleur, which have a greatly increased cage preload, the chain is reliably held in position even without a chain guide.
Note: only compatible with SRAM/Truvativ GXP and BB30 cranks. BB30 MTB cranks are only compatible if it is the model with a longer axle. These can be recognized by the 16 mm spacer on the drive side.
