Now that the SRAM RED in its road bike version has been given a suitable presentation surface by Dangerholm, it's time for the SRAM RED XPLR to get a stylish base. Dangerholm has polished a carbon frame and given it a semi-matt, metallic look.
In addition to saving weight, the pure carbon fibre is also harder and more scratch-resistant than a coloured frame - and therefore easier to maintain. Although the frameset is a real eye-catcher in its own right, for the RED XPLR it fades discreetly into the background and does not distract from the 13-fold novelty. For Dangerholm, the groupset is a real gain and impresses across the board. The ergonomics of the new levers, the performance of the brakes and the lightweight cassette ensure top-class riding pleasure.
The new Zipp 303 XPLR SW wheels, which set new standards in terms of speed and comfort, are discreet but nevertheless voluminous on closer inspection. With an inner rim width of 32mm, they provide the rider with completely different riding characteristics to those offered by conventional wheels.
All in all? A rocket on the piste with a low 7.36kg including pedals!
