The uvex race 8 takes you through triathlons and time trials with aerodynamic efficiency and combines a flow-optimized shape with practical details for competition. Developed together with uvex engineers and athletes from the BMC Etixx Pro Triathlon Team, this time trial helmet is aimed at all those who want to maintain their position, save watts and not give anything away in the decisive meters.
At its heart is the shortened droplet shape, which guides the helmet aerodynamically efficiently through the airstream and supports your position on the bike. Laterally arranged dimples take up a principle from golf, improve the air flow on the helmet shell and help to reduce turbulence and air resistance. For additional efficiency, the front ventilation opening is located at the point of maximum dynamic pressure. In this way, the airflow is directed around and through the helmet without unnecessarily interrupting the basic aerodynamic shape. The helmet remains practical even in changing conditions. The take-off magnetic visor in litemirror smoke S1 can be operated with one hand, is fully integrated into the helmet and fits seamlessly into the shape. When not in use, it can be stored in the parking position provided on the helmet. For reliable protection, the hardshell technology combines a robust outer shell with a shock-absorbing EPS inner shell. The adjustable uvex anatomic IAS system enables individual adjustment to the head circumference. Removable, washable and quick-drying helmet pads made from functional material round off the race-oriented comfort.

Dimples
Dimples arranged on the sides, similar to a golf ball, improve the air flow on the helmet shell, reduce turbulence and support the aerodynamic efficiency of the helmet.
Take-off magnetic visor
In changing light conditions, the take-off magnetic visor can be removed quickly, even with one hand while riding, and can be stored on the helmet when not in use.
