SYNTACE rim 29" W33i aluminum | 28 hole

In the past, narrow rims and heavy tires were the norm. Today, however, wide rims can be combined with new, lightweight tire types. But really wide, high-quality rims were inevitably still somewhat heavier than their narrower brothers, otherwise durability suffered. Syntace was the first to break this vicious circle in 2011. The original Syntace W33 rim was the first such wide and light aluminum rim on the market. After more than 5 years of experience, it has been improved with an even better aluminum alloy and with a profile that has been further developed in many test bench runs and made 50 g lighter again.
The enlarged nipple seat diameter (spoke hole 5.1 mm) allows the nipples to be embedded at the correct angle and prevents the spokes from kinking when the number of spokes is low and spoke lengths are short. The spherical contact area of the ABS Lock nipple on the spoke hole guarantees perfect alignment with the spoke and achieves a force-appropriate setup for highly loaded wheels.

Stronger than the spoke
Significantly more crack-resistant spoke anchoring in the rim base thanks to SmoothFit profile. Perfectly angled embedding of the nipples in the rim base. More durable than previous rim bases or mere shims, which add weight to the rim but do not reinforce the edge of the spoke hole.

Note:
This rim has 5.1 mm spoke holes and requires the ABS Lock FG2.3 spoke nipples developed by Syntace to mount a wheel!

V-Shape
From the inventor of the outwardly slanted, massively reinforced rim flanges on MTB rims. Profile with retaining groove developed in long series of tests for the best possible tire fit. 25 % higher stability as well as the tire width and grip of a 2 mm wider rim.

Syntace grants a 10-year guarantee on its products if they are installed and used in accordance with the installation instructions.
