The new 105 R7000 components are not only visually based on their big siblings Dura Ace R9100 and Ultegra R8000, some features of the top groupsets have also been adopted from a technical point of view. With a variety of translation options and the choice between rim and disc brakes, it is just as suitable for everyday drivers as it is for racing.
The new 105 ST-R7020 shift/brake levers allow even faster and more precise shifting. This is ensured by the redesigned internal switching unit of the Dual Control Shifter. The slim and compact handles not only save weight, but also allow a better leverage ratio from the brake lever position. This improves braking control and reduces operating forces. The hydraulic disc brakes also improve braking performance and controllability in all conditions. The shift and brake levers have an increased adjustment range so that they fit perfectly in the hand. The Shimano 105 BR-R7070 brake calipers guarantee maximum control in all conditions. The L02A brake pads with ICE-TECH cooling fins help to keep the brake temperatures low, even on long downhill runs.
