SAEVID Saddle Delta Carbon matt

With the Delta, the Spaniards from Saevid are launching an ultra-light carbon saddle for racing bikes and triathlon use. The wide and flat saddle shell has been designed for maximum comfort. Especially in the area of the sit bones, the Delta offers a lot of flex to absorb impacts from bumps in the road. The saddle length of 240 millimeters corresponds to the minimum length prescribed by the world cycling association UCI. Due to its short shape and especially the short saddle nose, the friction on the saddle when pedaling is reduced. In order to give the lightweight, which weighs less than 60 grams, the necessary stability, UD carbon layers are specifically used in the areas subject to the greatest stress. The saddle frame is also made of UD carbon fibers. An outer layer of braided carbon makes the frame more resistant and less sensitive to notches. To ensure the highest quality, Saevid manufactures its saddles by hand and hardens them in an autoclave. This improves strength and produces an excellent surface finish. Adjusting the saddle is made easier by the long clamping area of 70 millimeters.
