The SRAM Red Flattop chain has been redesigned from the ground up. The unique design of the plates has made the chain slimmer and lighter. The greater distance between the outer plates and the sprockets ensures smoother chain movement and even more precise shifting. Thanks to the hollow-pin design and the cut-outs in the inner and outer plates, 13 grams of weight have been saved. A durable chrome coating on the inside of the plates and the link rollers raises the durability-to-weight ratio to an unprecedented level and rounds off the chain perfectly. The Power Lock chain lock facilitates assembly and disassembly.

WAXED with REX
The advantages of a waxed chain have convinced you, but you are afraid of the time-consuming process? We'll do the work for you! All chains are professionally cleaned before treatment and then professionally bathed in hot wax. Only REX Black Diamond Hot Wax is used for this.
The Finns at REX have already broken all records in chain life tests with the synthetic, wax-based Black Diamond chain lubricant. But resting on their laurels was out of the question for the wax specialists from the world of ski racing. Even if you might think that ski waxes and chain oils have little in common, they both pursue the same goal: to minimize frictional resistance and prevent dirt and impurities from sticking. With the new Black Diamond Hot Wax, REX combines 70 years of experience in the production of kerosene ski waxes with the outstanding additives of the liquid Black Diamond chain lubricant.

REX Black Magik Drip Wax
To maximize the service life of the chain, we recommend relubricating the chain treated with REX Black Diamond Hot Wax with a wax-based liquid lubricant after a mileage of 600 kilometers. The best choice for this is REX Black Magik Drip Wax. Both products are based on the same high-performance wax formula and are therefore perfectly matched. This ensures that the drip wax integrates seamlessly into the existing wax layer without impairing performance.

Note: The color impression of the chain is initially somewhat dulled by the treatment. After a few kilometers in the saddle, the dark discoloration is no longer visible and the chain shines again in all its glory. To clean the chain, we recommend a dry microfiber cloth and, if necessary, warm water without any additives.
