The indestructible DT Swiss hubs and their stable fat bike rims are forgiving of the odd riding mistake, while the well-balanced selection of components guarantees you a high level of reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
Switzerland is known for good chocolate, first-class cheese and marvels of precision engineering. The dedication to detail that goes into these products can also be found in the DT Swiss 350 Big Ride hubs. Above all, the love of mechanics is easy to see. The tried-and-tested toothed pulley freehub with 18 notches is extremely reliable and hardly needs to shy away from comparison with Swiss clockwork. The bearing technology with 2 bearings each for the freewheel and hub body is adapted to the loads that occur on a fat bike. The labyrinth sealing system with the sliding sealing washers and the steel bearing rings ensure a long service life. Should a service be necessary after tens of thousands of kilometers, the hubs can be dismantled and serviced within a few minutes without special tools thanks to the DT Swiss plug-in system.
Rims
This extra wide yet lightweight oversize rim from DT Swiss also provides sufficient support for bulky fat bike tires. Special recesses push the weight down without sacrificing stability. The well-placed spoke holes make it possible to spin a robust wheel even with this small amount of material.
Spokes
The Race spoke is the classic from Sapim! It is a round spoke with a butted center section with a diameter of 1.8 mm. This provides more damping than non-tapered spokes. In addition, short load peaks can be better digested. The Race spoke enables very stiff and stable wheels for practically any application. The weight including nipple is approx. 6.95g per piece.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled completely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to give the first owner a lifetime guarantee against spoke breakage, as long as it was not caused by force.

You get a universal wheel bag for all common sizes included.
You will receive a spare spoke with nipple in all required spoke lengths so that you can repair the wheel quickly after an accident.
Within 2 years of purchase, you will receive a free initial inspection of the wheel, during which the resulting work is completely free of charge. Only shipping costs are incurred.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged within 2 years of purchase due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
