ODYSSEY insert tube Optis MTB 29" SV | without double valve
OPTIS stands for Odyssey Pneumatic Tire Insert System and is therefore a lightweight, easily adaptable and efficient tire insert. With the double valve, you have the option of inflating the insert via one valve and the tire itself via a second valve. Fitting is very simple, as OPTIS is fitted in a similar way to a conventional inner tube. The tire is automatically pushed outwards when inflated, making it easier to set the bead.
Low tire pressure
With the insert system, it is possible to run a lower tire pressure. The insert is inflated to a higher pressure than the tire itself. This ensures optimum grip while the tire remains stable.
"Prevent burping
A constant pressure against the rim prevents gaps from forming. This means you will no longer lose air on your next braap.
Protection from impacts
The high pressure in the tire insert acts as a buffer in the event of impacts and minimizes the risk of tire damage due to crushing and rim damage.
Low rolling resistance
Low tire pressure combined with a lightweight tire noticeably reduces rolling resistance, especially on uneven terrain.
Particularly light
OPTIS is particularly light. You can also ride a lighter tire and rim combination, as OPTIS reliably fixes the bead and provides additional support for your tires.
Temporary "run-flat" function
In the event of a rapid loss of air, the tire is held securely on the rim for a short time. This gives you more control and you can come to a safe stop.
