MAXXIS tire Minion DHR II 29 x 2.50 WT 3C MaxxTerra TR EXO+

With a completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for even better cornering grip, it has extreme cornering grip. The center lugs have beveled lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the lugs improve the transition when turning into corners. Some of the center lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in under hard braking and help to keep the bike under control.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have too angular a shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions right from the first inflation and with little liquid. Normal MAXXIS MTB tires can also be mounted tubeless with sealant, just like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabric is very tight.
However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless mounting of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strongly advise against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used.

EXO+ Protection
The improved EXO+ carcass is based on a robust 60TPI carcass, which is covered with abrasion-resistant rubber. In addition, the tire sidewalls have a reinforced and rubberized EXO puncture protection layer, while a short butyl insert is used above the tire bead. Tires with EXO+ protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing and are ideal for the higher torque and weight associated with E-MTBs.

3C MaxxTerra
The right 3C compound for enduro and freeride tires. This compound is characterized by smooth uphill performance and excellent downhill grip as well as a long service life.
