KNIPEX Kraft-Combination pliers black atramentized | medium
The combination pliers from KNIPEX are forged from special tool steel, have a multi-stage oil hardening process and are black atramentized for corrosion protection. Careful processing and tempering ensure a long, reliable tool life with many possible uses. The multi-component sleeves on the handles improve grip and safety in the hand. The pliers cut multi-strand cables up to 13 mm in diameter, medium-hard wire up to 2.2 mm and even hard wire up to 2.8 mm. Even thick cables (up to 25 mm²) can be easily inserted into the pliers and cut. Thanks to a hardness of approx. 63 HRC, wear on the cutting edges remains minimal even with intensive use.
Atramented surface
Atramentized or phosphated surfaces are widely used on KNIPEX pliers and are very popular with users. This surface treatment consists of a dark phosphate coating. The matt surface reduces the reflection of light, which can be particularly advantageous when working on bright or reflective surfaces. The atreatment gives the pliers an attractive appearance, a good grip, but also weaker corrosion protection (compared to chrome-plated surfaces). Atramentized pliers should be well oiled at all times to improve protection against rust.
