After the race brakes were discontinued, Hope engineers always had in mind that they should be replaced by something even more superior. The result is the XCR, Hope's ultimate race brake that is not afraid of trail use. Lighter, more powerful (10% more braking power than the Race Evo brake levers), perfect ergonomics and optimal modulation, put in the shade than anything else that the guys from Barnoldswick have developed so far.

Thanks to the conventionally designed expansion tank, the minimal radial construction of the brake lever is suitable for the simple bleeding process that one expects from Hope. Despite the minimalist design, there are details such as the adjustable lever width and the fastening clamp with hinge for reduced weight and simplified assembly. New bushings ensure reduced friction and a very light feel in the lever. The look is optimized with the carbon handle and the silver anodized layer.

XCR X2 brake caliper
The special version of the filigree XCR X2 pliers is the result of development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This gives you the opportunity to reduce weight, improve aesthetics and manufacture the ideal partner for the Tech Lever. As usual, the pliers are milled from 2014 T6 aluminum. The diameter of the pistons has been increased in order to be able to transmit more braking force to the brake disc. The sealed vent nipples ensure easier maintenance and the modified cable outlet simplifies the laying of the cable. The brake pads, which can be mounted from above, also contribute to easy handling. The brake is completely anodized and provided with lasered HOPE logos for a super elegant look and durability.
