The developers at GEMINI have always been surrounded by bicycles from an early age and are now applying the knowledge they have acquired in the manufacture of composite materials, resulting from years of experience in the design of motorcycles, bicycles and components, to a high degree of perfection.
The result is a stem handlebar unit with a unibody design that cannot be compared with any conventional handlebar. The stable Pollux was specially designed for downhill riders for whom comfort, maximum control and perfect ergonomics on long and difficult descents are paramount.
During development, every area of the handlebar was examined and optimized to the highest level. Compared to conventional stem/handlebar combos, greater damping of vertical impacts and vibrations has been achieved, resulting in less arm and hand fatigue and enabling higher speeds on descents.
On the other hand, the unibody design generates a high increase in horizontal stiffness, which makes the steering much more direct and responsive.
The Pollux is made of the best carbon fiber currently available on the market - Mitsubishi MR70 - which has been specially developed for the most demanding customers in the aerospace industry and is the key to greater comfort and safety. Countless tests in the laboratory and off-road confirm the perfect symbiosis of design and material, which offers optimum conditions not only for racing.
Note: To ensure the best possible control and damping of the handlebars, GEMINI recommends installing the stem/handlebar unit on bikes with a steering angle of 62 and 64 degrees.
