Gelu Carbon Creation was brought to life in 2013 by Anghel Ivanof. Anghel has more than 20 years of experience in processing composite materials. It all started in the early 1990s with the manufacture and repair of carbon components for e.g. B. Speedboats, canoes and surfboards.
After an excursion into aviation technology, which began in 1999, in 2005 it was time to apply the knowledge gained for the production of high-quality bicycle parts. The first prototype of a carbon saddle saw the light of day in 2006.
Thanks to the close collaboration with an orthopedic surgeon, an engineer and some of the best Portuguese athletes, a product has been developed step by step that also meets the needs of the best athletes.
With a weight between 38g to 59g, the saddles of the K series are the most popular saddles from Gelu Carbon Creation.
Small, compact and very flat. This makes the K series saddles the most versatile in the Gelu range, as their shape means that they fit many sit bones. The central opening is specially designed to ensure that there is no pressure on the prostate region. K-3 is not only the lightest saddle (38 g), but is also considered by many athletes to be one of the most comfortable.
Each Gelu Carbon saddle is handcrafted in Portugal. For maximum comfort and safety, all saddles are checked and certified by an orthopedic surgeon. So you get off your bike with a smile even after the longest tour. A perfect finish also pampers the eye and leaves nothing to be desired about the finished product.
