GARMIN inReach Mini 3 Plus | Satellite Communication Device
Say it, show it, share it - with the compact inReach Mini 3 Plus satellite communicator from Garmin. Stay in touch with friends and family even when you're far away from the mobile network, exchange photos and messages or always share your current position.
Preparations for the adventure of a lifetime begin long before you start pedaling. It's not just about getting your bike in perfect condition, but also choosing your equipment carefully and preparing yourself mentally for the effort ahead. You plan your route, research all the relevant waypoints and don't forget to pack the right tools, spare parts and food supplies. Every day in the saddle brings new challenges. That's why it's important to start with the right equipment to ensure your safety and orientation in every situation. The inReach Mini 3 Plus accompanies you on your journey, supports you with navigation, communication and emergency preparedness and allows you to concentrate fully on the big adventure.
Made of shock-resistant, durable plastic and chemically reinforced glass, the lightweight housing offers maximum resistance for use in extreme conditions. The integrated MIP color display with touch input can be used to display messages directly, send quick check-in messages and activate and track SOS emergency calls. The current location can also be called up and shared with others. Thanks to the transflective nature of the screen, which uses both the backlight and reflected sunlight, the display remains easy to read even in the midday sun. The global Iridium satellite network, which consists of 66 active satellites in low earth orbit, offers seamless worldwide coverage for communication. This means you can always stay in touch, even in remote regions where there is no mobile phone reception.
SHARE PHOTOS
Send a selfie or share the sunset - regardless of mobile phone reception. Simply pair your inReach with the Garmin Messenger app on your smartphone. And if you leave your smartphone in your backpack, you can still send messages directly on the inReach Mini 3 Plus thanks to the color display with touch input.
EXCHANGING VOICE MESSAGES
Send your loved ones a voice message up to 30 seconds long, without any mobile reception, and tell them you miss them. Share and receive voice messages via the Garmin Messenger app on your smartphone or alternatively directly via the inReach's integrated microphone and speaker.
GROUP MESSAGES
Use your smartphone and the Garmin Messenger app to send group messages. This function is particularly useful as it allows you to stay in contact with several people at the same time, even in remote areas without mobile phone reception. So you can share important information with your group at any time.
GARMIN MESSENGER APP
The Garmin Messenger app is a mobile application designed for seamless communication over cellular, Wi-Fi or satellite. It offers an intuitive user interface with a typical messenger look for sharing photos, text and voice messages with your loved ones. Available for iOS and Android.
TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION
With Garmin inReach's two-way communication, you can not only send but also receive messages, even in remote areas without cellular coverage. Satellite communication makes it possible to exchange messages worldwide.
CHECK-IN MESSAGES
Send simple check-in messages that do not count towards your allotted SMS messages. Garmin Check-In Messages are pre-written or customized messages sent via your Garmin inReach Messenger Plus to confirm your current location or status. These messages can be sent to friends and family to let them know you are safe or have reached a specific area. In an emergency, check-in messages can also be used to share current location data with emergency services.
INTERACTIVE SOS EMERGENCY CALL
Start your next adventure with the peace of mind that you can always make an interactive SOS emergency call to Garmin Response with your current GPS coordinates if you really need help. Garmin Response is a global, round-the-clock emergency service connected to Garmin devices such as the Garmin inReach Mini 3 Plus. This service specializes in coordinating help in emergencies by receiving your GPS coordinates and contacting emergency services or other relevant emergency services. Garmin Response is available worldwide and uses the Iridium satellite network for satellite communication with 100% global coverage.
SHARE YOUR ROUTE
Share your tour with your loved ones at home. Share your GPS position and route at any time via LiveTrack or embed your current location data in your text messages, photos or voice messages.
GARMIN EXPLORE APP
The Garmin Explore app is a mobile application designed specifically for planning and managing outdoor activities. It offers a user-friendly interface to create routes, save activities and monitor GPS data. Available for iOS and Android.
SEAMLESS CONNECTION
Send messages via your smartphone's Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If no cellular or Wi-Fi connection is available, the device seamlessly switches to the satellite network.
GPS ACCURACY
The integrated antenna automatically acquires satellite signals to update the latitude and longitude of your position. So you don't have to point your inReach at the sky to find satellites.
ROBUST DESIGN
The compact inReach Mini 3 Plus has been specially designed to work in extreme environmental conditions. It is robust, durable and waterproof to IPX7.
INREACH WEATHER INFORMATION
Get detailed weather forecasts for your current location or for your saved waypoints and locations.

Garmin is a world leader in mobile navigation and GPS satellite communications. Founded in 1989 with five employees in the United States, the company now has over 9,000 employees worldwide and has established itself through the development of innovative products in the field of navigation and communication. To date, over 43 million Garmin devices have been sold, underlining the trust placed in the brand. The name "Garmin" is made up of the first names of the two founders, Gary Burrell and Dr. Min Kao, and reflects the close partnership and innovative spirit that has characterized the company from the very beginning.
A milestone was the launch of the GPS 100 in 1991, a navigation system for boaters and pilots. It was the first of its kind and marked the beginning of Garmin's focus on GPS technology. In 2011, Garmin launched the inReach SE, the first product with bidirectional satellite communication. The device made it possible to send and receive text messages and make SOS emergency calls - even without mobile phone reception. It was an important step in Garmin's range of satellite communication solutions, especially for people traveling in remote areas.
NOTE: The use of inReach's satellite communication features requires an active subscription, which comes at an additional cost. Monthly payments cover access to the Iridium satellite network, which is used for communications such as sending messages, location data or SOS emergency calls. Garmin offers different subscription plans that vary according to needs and usage. You can find an overview of the different inReach tariffs here.
