Made from impact-resistant, durable plastic and chemically reinforced glass, the lightweight case offers maximum durability for use in extreme conditions. The integrated monochrome MIP display can be used to directly display received messages, send quick check-in messages and activate and track SOS emergency calls. The current location can also be called up and shared with others. Thanks to the transflective nature of the screen, which uses both the backlight and reflected sunlight, the display remains easy to read even in the midday sun. The global Iridium satellite network, which consists of 66 active satellites in low earth orbit, offers seamless worldwide coverage. So you always stay connected, even in remote regions where there is no mobile phone reception.

Garmin is one of the world market leaders in the field of mobile navigation and satellite communication. Founded in 1989 with five employees in the United States, the company now has over 9,000 employees worldwide and has established itself through the development of innovative products in the field of navigation and communication. To date, over 43 million Garmin devices have been sold, underlining the trust placed in the brand. The name "Garmin" is made up of the first names of the two founders, Gary Burrell and Dr. Min Kao, and reflects the close partnership and innovative spirit that has characterized the company from the very beginning.
A milestone was the launch of the GPS 100 in 1991, a navigation system for boaters and pilots. It was the first of its kind and marked the beginning of Garmin's focus on GPS technology. In 2011, Garmin launched the inReach SE, the first product with bidirectional satellite communication. The device made it possible to send and receive text messages and make SOS emergency calls - even without mobile phone reception. It was an important step in Garmin's range of satellite communication solutions, especially for people traveling in remote areas.
NOTE: The use of inReach's satellite communication features requires an active subscription, which comes at an additional cost. Monthly payments cover access to the Iridium satellite network, which is used for communications such as sending messages, location data or SOS emergency calls. Garmin offers different subscription plans that vary according to needs and usage. You can find an overview of the different inReach tariffs here.
