PARK TOOL chain tester CC-2

A worn chain is not only difficult to shift, it also ruins the chainrings and cassette in a very short time. The CC-2 chain tester ensures precise wear measurement of 5- to 12-speed derailleur chains so that you can detect and replace a worn chain in good time. Most manufacturers recommend replacing the chain for 5- to 9-speed chains if it is no longer than 0.75% and for 10- to 12-speed chains if it is no longer than 0.5%.

Note: As a chain requires a certain amount of play to function even when new, the chain tester can also indicate up to 0.25% wear on a new chain.
