GARBARUK Rear Derailleur Cage SRAM 11-/12-speed for Cassettes up to 50 Teeth
GARBARUK Rear Derailleur Cradle SRAM 11- / 12-speed for cassettes up to 50 teeth
Meanwhile, there are various manufacturers of cassettes or cassette extensions, which increases the bandwidth of your 1x11 drive. For example, existing cartridge systems will be expanded from 11-40 teeth to 11-48 or even 11-50 teeth. The problem is that the rear derailleurs are usually not designed for this purpose. The top idler must be positioned very far down to get under the 48er or 50cc sprocket. If the chain then runs on the 11er pinion of the cassette, the distance between pinion and guide roller is very large, so that the switching performance suffers. Garbaruk offers the perfect solution here. The special derailleur cage positions the guide rollers at the optimum position, so that the guide roller can always work perfectly and the switching performance does not suffer. It extends the capacity of your rear derailleur to up to 50 teeth. You can continue to use your previous scraper rolls, but the recommendation is to use the guide rollers with 12-16 teeth, which Garbaruk has adapted to the cage, in order to achieve the best possible performance of your drive.
Note: To achieve the highest possible switching performance, Garbaruk recommends using Garbaruk cassettes and rear derailleur cages only for proprietary drives. SRAM XD-compatible Garbaruk cassettes work well with SRAM components when properly installed and set up, and Shimano compatible Garbaruk cassettes work best with Shimano rear derailleurs.
