There are now cassettes or cassette extensions from various manufacturers that increase the bandwidth of your 1x11/1x12 drive. For example, existing cassette systems with 10-42 teeth can be expanded to 10-48 or even 10-50 teeth. The problem with this is that the rear derailleurs are usually not designed for this. The upper idler wheel must be positioned very far down so that it comes under the 48 or 50 sprocket. If the chain then runs on the 11 sprocket of the cassette, the distance between the sprocket and the idler pulley is very large, so that the shifting performance suffers. Garbaruk offers the perfect solution here. The special rear derailleur cage positions the guide rollers in the optimal position so that the guide roller can always work perfectly and the shifting performance does not suffer. It expands the capacity of your rear derailleur up to 50 teeth. You can continue to use your previous jockey wheels, but we recommend using the guide rollers with 12-16 teeth that Garbaruk has matched to the cage in order to achieve the best possible performance from your drive.

Notice:
In order to achieve the best possible shifting performance, Garbaruk recommends using Garbaruk cassettes and rear derailleur cages only for manufacturer-specific drives. SRAM XD compatible Garbaruk cassettes work best with SRAM components when installed and set up correctly, and Shimano compatible Garbaruk cassettes work best with Shimano rear derailleurs.
