EASTON crank arms EC90 SL carbon

It is no coincidence that the Easton EC90 SL is visually reminiscent of the ultra-light Race Face Next SL mountain bike crank. Thanks to a lively exchange of technology between the sister companies, Easton was able to take over the best features of the Next SL and integrate them into a high-end crank system for racing bikes, gravel and cyclocross.

The basis of the crank system is formed by the hollow carbon crank arms, which not only impress with their design and low weight, but also offer enormous rigidity. In order to keep the weight down, the 30 millimeter thick crankshaft is made of aluminum and can be mounted on frames with BSA threads as well as with PressFit Standard. Due to this design, the EC90 SL only loads the scales with 357 grams (crank arms and crankshaft) and is therefore one of the lightest cranks on the market.

The highlight of the crank system, however, is the Cinch system adapted by Race Face. This modular system allows the crank to be adapted to the respective application in next to no time. The right crank arm can be dismantled using an integrated puller with a hexagonal wrench and the chainring can be exchanged with a commercially available bottom bracket wrench for cartridge bearings, or replaced with a double spider. The crankshaft and the left crank arm can remain in the frame.

The Easton EC90 SL Carbon is available with crank lengths of 170, 172.5 and 175 millimeters.
