It's no coincidence that the Easton EC90 SL looks like the ultra-light Race Face Next SL mountain bike crank. Through a brisk technology exchange between the sister companies, Easton took over the best features of the Next SL and integrated it into a high-end crank system for road bike, gravel and cyclocross.
The basis of the crank system are the hollow carbon crank arms, which convince not only by their design and their low weight, but also bring tremendous rigidity. To further push the weight, the 30 millimeter crankshaft is made of aluminum and can be mounted on frames with BSA threads as well as with PressFit Standard. Due to this design, the EC90 SL weighs the balance just 357 grams (crank arms and crankshaft) and is thus one of the lightest cranks on the market.
The highlight of the crank system, however, is the Race Face adapted Cinch system. This modular system allows an adjustment of the crank in no time at the respective application. The right crank arm can be disassembled via an integrated puller with a hexagon key and the chainring exchanged with a commercially available bottom bracket key for cartridge bearings, or replaced with a double spider. The crankshaft and the left crank arm can remain in the frame.
Available is the Easton EC90 SL Carbon with crank lengths of 170, 172.5 and 175 millimeters.
