With its gigantic outer width of 43 millimetres, the Duke Baccara WRX 42 rim integrates gravel tires with a width of 42 to 44 millimetres aerodynamically perfectly into the 42 millimetre high rim profile.In addition, its inner width of 28 millimetres allows you to ride wide gravel tires with extremely low air pressures without the tires becoming unstable in fast bends.This provides you with excellent damping on rough gravel and trails and thus ensures more comfort and less fatigue on long distances. Another special feature of the WRX 42 Aero is the extremely wide rim flanges, which are designed to protect the tires from damage in the event of punctures.
The hook profile of the rims ensures a secure fit of the tire. The lower weight is achieved by optimizing the use of materials, with particularly stressed areas being reinforced and uncritical areas being spared. In addition, the amount of resin used has been further reduced without sacrificing stability.
Thanks to the SLR2 production technology developed by Duke, it is no longer necessary to rework or paint the rims during the production process. This alone can save up to 10% in weight and achieve a very high surface quality. The use of highly modular carbon fibers also improves the inherent damping, which is particularly beneficial for riding comfort.
The rims definitely lead the class in terms of load capacity. Despite the flat shape, with a maximum system weight of 125 kg, you can take a little more luggage with you.
The rims have an asymmetrical rim profile, which enables a more even spoke angle. This optimization of the spoke angle has a number of advantages. The spoke tension on both sides can be better aligned, which is beneficial to the durability of the spokes and the wheel as a whole. The normally direction-dependent lateral stiffness is also adjusted, making the wheel more stable.
3-year warranty and lifetime crash replacement on UD carbon rims
Duke selects the materials used very carefully in order to offer you the best possible product. Therefore, the quality standards for all products, subcontractors and partners are very strict. Duke guarantees for a period of two years that the rims offered have no hidden defects. However, improper installation or use of the products will invalidate the warranty.
In the event of accidents or heavy falls, violent impacts can damage the rim and make it impossible to use. Duke therefore offers a lifetime crash replacement for its UD carbon rims. In exchange, you will receive a 50% discount on the rim you have purchased.
