The 1700 Spline wheels are the lightest wheel series with aluminum rims in the DT Swiss range. Built with high quality components and the usual Swiss precision in every detail, they are the perfect everyday wheelset. Thanks to their lightweight aluminum rims, they are also ideal for racing.
Revised DT Swiss 350 hubs
Specially revised versions of the proven DT Swiss 350 hubs are installed in the 1700 Spline wheels. With their high bearing quality and excellent seals, they are also ideally suited for adverse conditions. In contrast to the production version, a 36 Ratchet SL toothed pulley freewheel system with a very direct response is used in the 1700 wheels.
EX 511 enduro rims
The built-in EX 511 enduro rims with their large inner width of 30 millimeters offer modern enduro tires with very good support at low air pressures. Their wall thicknesses were chosen so that they are stable enough to meet the best enduro riders and yet they are light enough for the uphill. The rim profile is of course designed for tubeless use and is supplied with tubeless tape and a matching tubeless valve.
DT Swiss Competition Straightpull spokes
The spline wheels are built exclusively with straight pull spokes. This ensures a very high level of rigidity in the wheel and, because the sensitive spoke arch is eliminated, ensures a very high level of durability. In addition, the competition spokes save weight thanks to their tapered middle section, without negatively affecting the durability of the wheel.
PHR nipple system
Stands for Pro Head Reinforcement System, in which the nipple and rim form a kind of ball joint. This ensures a flat contact surface between the nipple and the rim, which makes it easier to align the nipple. Thus, the spokes are always at the right angle to the rim and the forces can be transferred better. The DT Squorx nipple have on the underside a Torx mount , which ensures a better tool holder for a more precise centering. On the outside, the Squorx nipples can still be tightened with a conventional standard nipple wrench.
