DARIMO stem IX2 UD matt | -12°

A little tip first: Please always assemble this stem properly. There is a risk that it could float away due to its light weight. This is really phenomenal at 62 g and a length of 80 mm. Anyone who wants to build an ultra-light bike should consider the Darimo stem.

But how do the Spaniards manage to produce such a flyweight? The clever minds from Valencia have worked a lot and save material wherever they can. But of course they also pay attention to safety and rigidity. For the latter, the shape plays an important role. Round stems have a high torsional rigidity, while more square cross-sections are very stable in the vertical direction. As a result, a combination of both forms was chosen, which combines the respective advantages. It also has a striking look and is an eye-catcher on your bike.
The handlebar is held to the front panel by two titanium screws. This further saved some weight compared to the IX4 version.

Hints:
The Darimo stem is a high-end product and requires careful work during installation. All torques and driver weights specified by the manufacturer must be strictly adhered to. This increases the service life of the stem and is for your safety.
When using it on a racing bike, it should be noted that the diameter of the upper link must not exceed 31.8 mm due to the non-removable front cap. Otherwise there is a risk of damage to the handlebars and stem. Aerobars are therefore excluded.
